Throwing Stones by Avery Cockburn: Queen J’s Review

Throwing Stones (Glasgow Lads on Ice, #1)Throwing Stones by Avery Cockburn
Queen J’s rating: 5 of 5 stars

There is absolutely nothing that I didn’t love about this book. I loved the characters, the location, the story, the humor, the curling. My quote highlighting was out of control on this story. There were just so many perfect moments of humor and sweetness. Avery does a fantastic job sharing cultural and language quirks and humor of the Scottish and Canadian characters. How curling was introduced and taught through the book was extremely well done. It added to the story with out feeling like you were stepping out of the story to read a Wikipedia page.

This book was a sweet, slow burn and full of class. I love how that purposefully reflected what the sport of curling was about. I am so excited to read the rest of this series!!!!
